MPL PH Season 12 Week 2: Echo and AP Bren Secure Top Two, Blacklist International Falls to Third

Echo Philippines and AP Bren finished the second week of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Pro League Philippines Season 12 with strong results, moving them to first and second place, respectively. The latter improved significantly and dethroned the Philippines’ heavyweight, Blacklist International, who stood at the top in the first week.

Echo is now leading with an outstanding 13 points, having won all five games thus far. The reigning MPL PH champions extended their winning streak by defeating RSG Philippines in one of the league’s most entertaining clashes to date.

Although RSG wowed the viewers with a high level play that put the Purple Orca army down in just under 10 minutes with 10K gold lead — the shortest match of the league so far – the team shrugged it off and fought aggressively in the next two games, thanks to the collaborative efforts of Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno and Alston “Sanji” Pabico.

AP Bren also continued their winning streak by defeating ONIC Philippines and Minana Esports, moving up to second place and dethroning Blacklist International. The IESF MLBB 2023 champion is quickly becoming a fan favorite with their high-energy play and savvy drafts which benefit their aces, Angelo “Phewww” Arcangel and Marco “Super Marco” Requitano.

Blacklist International, on the other hand, is now in third place and needs to catch up on points following a surprise loss to Onic Philippines. Former RSG PH John “Perkziva” Sumawan made his Onic Philippines debut with a stunning performance, assisting the squad to a 2-0 victory over the revitalized Blacklist.

MPL PH Season 12 will continue on Friday, September 22 and will be opened with Minana EVOS against Echo PH, followed by Smart Omega versus AP Bren, and TNC Pro versus Onic PH.
