Get up! Warzone Mobile, the Call of Duty game you have all been waiting for, has finally dropped as Activision Blizzard hit the launch ubtton, making it available for both Android and iOS users worldwide. The game came out with a total of 7.5 gigabyte download size, but hold onto your phones because there’s more to come – since Warzone Mobile is keeping up with the big console version, you can bet there’s a hefty update headed our way soon.

For Activision Blizzard, this marks their second venture into the mobile gaming arena with the iconic Call of Duty franchise. About five years ago, the company released critically acclaimed Call of Duty: Mobile, complete with its own unique battle royale mode. However, while its predecessor focused on classic 5v5 multiplayer and the ever-popular zombie mode, Warzone Mobile is poised to dominate with its intense focus on the battle royale experience.

Prepare yourselves for epic showdowns on colossal battle maps, whether it’s the heart-pounding chaos of 120 warriors clashing on Verdansk or the lightning-fast, adrenaline-fueled frenzy of 48-player battles on Rebirth Island. But don’t fret if the intensity gets too much – there’s a plethora of alternative game modes to dive into for a breather.

To celebrate this mobile launch, Activision Blizzard has pulled out all the stops with a special limited-time event dubbed “Day Zero,” exclusively for mobile gamers. From tomorrow onward, players must complete specific in-game challenges within contested zones to earn valuable Event Points. These points can be traded in for exclusive rewards like skins and blueprints. Furthermore, each conquered zone contributes to community-wide rewards, ensuring everyone gets a piece of the action with additional loot up for grabs.

Individual rewards:

  • Crimson Blaze Emblem
  • Nightmare Rift Calling Card
  • Forsaken Past Emblem
  • Tearing Me Apart Sticker
  • Demon’s Claw Combat Knife Weapon Blueprint
  • Last Word Charm
  • Hell Scrapper LTV Vehicle Skin
  • Nightmare Inferno Large Decal
  • Crimson Prince X12 Weapon Blueprint
  • Vengeful Devil King Large Decal
  • Raging Blaze M4 Weapon Blueprint
  • Bloody Reaper Ghost Operator

Community rewards:

  • Gilded Devil King Large Decal: Clear Zone 1
  • Scorched Beginnings” Animated Calling Card: Clear Zone 2
  • Golden Blaze Emblem: Clear Zone 3
  • Golden Flame X12 Weapon Blueprint: Clear Zone 4
  • Heavy Thunder M4 Weapon Blueprint: Clear Zone 5
  • Golden Phantom Ghost Operator Skin: Clear Zone 6

Technical issue persists

Having tested the game this morning, it’s evident that the game has the potential to stand out among other mobile battle royale titles, thanks to its seamless gameplay reminiscent of console experiences and captivating game modes. However, we feel Activision Blizzard should address a technical issue to ensure a smoother gaming experience.

On top-tier mainstream devices, we observed that WM frequently struggles to maintain the optimal 60 frames per second even in less demanding scenarios. The integration of a high-resolution assets streaming option, akin to its console counterpart, fails to alleviate the issue. Enabling this option becomes the least favorable choice, especially for players on mobile data connections. In contrast, CoDM has excelled in device optimization despite offering a similar high-resolution asset feature.
