Riot Games Takes Swift Action: Pro Valorant Players TenTen and fl1pzjder Found Guilty in Racism Case

Riot Games has officially published its decision regarding the racism case between TenTen, a former Valorant player from the Northeption squad, and Saibani “fl1pzjder” Rahmad, the in-game leader of the RRQ team that occurred some time ago. Both have been declared guilty and will be given appropriate punishment for their actions.

Earlier this month, a recording showing a heated conversation between TenTen and fl1pzjder went viral on social media. In the video, fl1pzjder, who coincidentally played alongside TenTen in competitive mode, appeared frustrated with the latter’s performance, which resulted in his team falling behind. Angered by fl1pzjder’s statements, TenTen then attacked him with racist insults and remarks against India.

This incident drew mixed responses from the community. While some viewers were clearly angered by TenTen’s actions, the majority chuckled since TenTen had confused fl1pzjder for an Indian player. However, once the video was widely shared, the Northeption team took swift action by canceling TenTen’s contract. On the other side, fl1pzjder issued a public statement addressing the event, stating that he had resolved the dispute between himself and the South Korean player.

Nonetheless, Riot Games heard the case and determined that the two had broken the rules. TenTen was barred from competing in the next four VCT games. Meanwhile, fl1pz was given a warning that said he would face harsh punishments if he broke the rules again outside of competition.

This is not the first time something like this has happened in Valorant’s competitive environment. Riot Games has previously punished professional players and team owners like Angelo “Keznit” Mori, flappy, Jack “Jawsyt,” and famous streamers like Darren “IShowSpeed” Watkins Jr. for similar offenses. Furthermore, as part of their goal to create a healthy community in Valorant, Riot stated in 2021 that in-game communications between players would be recorded to evaluate reports regarding hate speech, harassment, or any other breach of the behavior agreement.
