Reports Suggest Professional MLBB Competition is Coming to China Soon

Rumors regarding the professional tournament Mobile Legends: Bang Bang in China continue to grow, as more social media outlets are talking about the recent update. Additionally, some influencers and professionals in the MLBB competitive scene recently opened about Moonton’s yet-to-be-announced competition plan.

The National Press and Publication Administration (NPPA) of China reported in April that Moonton had registered a game called ‘Pinnacle of the Decisive Victory,’ which was revealed to be the Chinese version of MLBB. According to the report, they have also redesigned some heroes in the game in order to meet the standards in that country.

The announcement subsequently met with a good response from pundits and professional players, particularly in Southeast Asia, who are expecting new opportunities from the prospect of MLBB competition in China. Despite the lack of an official announcement thus far, excitement has surged once more with the official MLBB post on Facebook, which was posted in Mandarin.

This theory was further strengthened by the discovery of an M5 wild card slot, which has yet to be revealed. Fans believed that the Chinese team would take the slot following social media posts that said a major esports organisation in China was looking for scrim partners in preparation for the M5 Wild Card competition next month.

Furthermore, former coach of the Evos Legends team and the Indonesian MLBB national team, Bjorn “Zeys” Ong, recently leaked that he received an invitation from Moonton in China and had already looked at their plans for the upcoming competition.

Zeys stated on his Instagram story that the MLBB competition in the China region will most likely begin soon with 10 teams and will be joined by a number of popular esports organisations, such as LGD and Nova Esports. However, he has not commented on the likelihood of an M5 wild card slot or the actual date of the much-anticipated tournament.

Moonton has not made any further comment on the China version MLBB release window or details regarding official MLBB competition in China as of now. Nevertheless, given the great successes made by Chinese esports teams in mobile gaming competition over the last few years, fans can anticipate a more thrilling and heated competition when the rumored MPL China finally begins.
