Meme Monday: Happy home paradise…? Say no more!

Get ready to start picking weeds off your island because Animal Crossing: New Horizons, is welcoming its players back with the game’s latest update, Happy Home Paradise DLC, announced by Nintendo to be released on November 5.

Fans are now flocking back to their islands (probably overgrown with weeds by now), after the game’s previous stalemate with fans having grown temporarily bored with the game.

But now they’re back again! The DLC is available as a complimentary feature of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, with a 12-month individual and family membership plan for $49.99 and $79.99 respectively.

So here are a few memes of old to tide you by as you await the DLC launch – hope none of it gives you PTSD.

  1. An exciting new feature??

Luck’s on your side if you’re too lazy to get out of the house for some real exercise during the pandemic. For just $24.99, you get the privilege of doing your morning stretches virtually with a bunch of animals. Totally beats actually just doing it in real life, free-of-charge.

2. A small price to pay

Like the man Thanos himself once said, 1440 bells are just a small price to pay for this dope looking chair. That’s right, the iconic froggy chair which had somehow managed to steal the hearts of every Animal Crossing player in existence will also be making a comeback in the latest update.

3. Breaking into homes are now legal

So… Villagers are now technically (legally) allowed to break into your homes. What better way to start your day with your furry residents showing up uninvited in your doorway? They certainly won’t scare the living daylights out of you, that’s for sure.

4. Personality first, looks come second 🙂

Got a room as bland as your personality? If this hits a little too close to home, fret not, for one of the new main features in the latest update includes many more opportunities for players to hone their interior designing techniques by designing vacation homes.

5. Pls go to bed

Tarantulas spawn between 7pm to 4am. With that said, there’s really no need to be out and about at the ungodly hours of 2am flinging your net about. We understand that tarantulas are rare, but finding someone with a healthy sleep schedule nowadays is even rarer.

Meme Monday: Lighten(ing) your mood with these Neon memes

It’s here, it’s here, it’s finally here! Okay, well…not quite. But it’s coming! Just four days from now, Pokémon Legends: Arceus will officially be released. Meme Monday: You’ve seen the Spider-Verse, now get ready for the Riot-Verse

It’s only midway through January and Riot is already treating us well with the release of two new characters: Neon from Valorant and Zeri from League of Legends (LOL). Even better, Neon is canonically Filipino, a huge win for Southeast Asian gamers! But we, like the rest of the internet, are seeing double – Neon and Zeri are practically the same person. Case in point: They are voiced by the same Filipino voice actress, have very similar abilities and look basically identical. We can’t help but think that Riot is trying to hint at something…a Riot multiverse, perhaps? It won’t be too far-fetched, since crossovers between both games have happened and Valorant’s storyline literally revolves around a second Earth from another universe. Alright, that’s enough speculation. This Meme Monday, we bring you PROOF of the Riot-Verse. Well, kinda.

Meme Monday: Game NFTs are ruining my life!

The turn of a new year usually brings resolutions and new goals. People generally aim to better themselves in the following year. Square Enix president Yosuke Matsuda didn’t get the memo though.
