Bigetron Arctic Disbandment Spurs Interest from Indian Esports Organisations for Indonesian Valorant Talents

The members of the Bigetron Arctic team have recently gained attention from the Valorant scene after officially disbanding last June. Their exceptional track records are reported to have captured the interest of esports organizations from the Indian subcontinent, which are actively seeking new talent from outside their region.

Bigetron Arctic was one of the Valorant teams in Indonesia that disbanded after the Valorant Challengers 2023: Indonesian Split 2 tournament last June. Bigetron Esports CEO Edwin “Starlest” Chia stated that the lack of Riot-sponsored competitions and opportunities to break into the franchise league was a major factor for Bigetron abandoning its Valorant division. He believes that the decision to maintain the Valorant division, which does not participate in the franchise league, will affect their operations.

Following their disbandment, their former players are now advertising their profiles on social media in hopes of securing a deal with a new club for the upcoming competitive season. One of the most intriguing offers is anticipated to be presented to Rafi “frostmind” Diandra, who reportedly received an offer from the Indian esports organization called Orangutan. He then responded to these rumors with a cryptic message on X.

In addition to Frostmind, sources indicate that several organizations are keeping a watch on his former comrade, Oliver “Budimeister” Budi Wangga, who showcased his abilities prior to his time with Bigetron Arctic. According to rumors, organizations are eager to sign him and Frostmind together due to their current situation.

At the moment, no additional information has confirmed that the two would depart Indonesia in the near future. If these reports are true, they will be joining their compatriot Cahya “Monyet” Nugraha, the first Indonesian player in the Valorant India competitive scene, who joined Global Esports from Onic G in October 2022.

Frostmind and Budimeister are two of the numerous young Valorant talents in Indonesia that have frequently emerged as highlights in various tournaments. Prior to joining Bigetron Arctic, Frostmind was a key member of the Alter Ego and Boom Esports teams, both of which frequently participate in SEA competitions. Meanwhile, Budimeister, who is only 18 years old, rose to prominence in Indonesia after transitioning from NXL’s CS:GO division to Valorant, and he is widely regarded as the next big thing in the Indonesian Valorant scene.
