Crazyguy Returns to Bleed Esports After Reconciling with Teammates

Following a period of internal strife, Bleed Esports has reinstated crazyguy to their roster for the upcoming VCT Pacific Stage 2. Despite speculation that he might not return after the recent drama, Cong “crazyguy” Anh has confirmed that he and his teammates have resolved their differences and are now focused on preparing for Stage 2.

Crazyguy was previously benched and replaced by former DRX in-game leader Kim “Zest” Gi-seok after a disappointing performance during the VCT Pacific Kickoff, which concluded on February 25, 2024. Unhappy with his benching, crazyguy claimed that two key players were behind his removal.

Though there was no official confirmation, many pointed fingers at Natchaphon “Sscary” Matarat and Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker, the latter being Bleed’s most high-profile acquisition to date. Unfortunately, yay couldn’t meet expectations and stepped down from the squad due to health issues after VCT Pacific Stage 1.

With yay’s departure leaving a gap in the lineup, Bleed Esports decided to bring crazyguy back as a starter. He responded positively and soon shared that he had reconciled with his teammates.

On X, crazyguy posted, “Sscary and I had a talk to clear all the problems between us. Both of us have said sorry to each other and have decided to move on from what has happened.”

Sscary also confirmed the reconciliation on his social media, explaining the difficult situation and apologizing to crazyguy. “During a tough period for our team, we couldn’t play together and had to drop a player. This was hard for me as Cong is someone I respect and have had great experiences with as our IGL. However, as a professional, I must respect team decisions and focus on training to perform my best,” said Sscary.

“The entire incident led to misunderstandings for Cong, prompting me to reflect on all the mistakes that occurred. We talked directly, apologized to each other, and realized we have the same goals. This understanding allowed us to move forward and forgive each other.”

Bleed Esports will play their first Stage 2 game in 16 days. As the lowest performer in the previous event, they sit at the bottom of the overall standings and need to work harder to reach the playoffs.
