Brace yourselves, Indonesia Valorant fans! It seems like one of the seasoned esports organizations, Alter Ego, is ready to kick off its new Valorant competitive season with the signing of Red Bull Campus Clutch 2023’s champion, which is none other than Team Garuda from Indonesia.
Starting today, the Alter Ego Valorant lineup will be fortified by the inclusion of the triumphant quartet: Rayvaldo “Ray4C” Chandra, Rivaldy “Valdyn” Nafian, Davin “gotten”, Thomas “Cud” Alfiantino and the return of Nanda “asteriskk” Rizana as coach. Augmenting this formidable roster are the retained talents of Alehandro “Nakya” Simanjorang and Bryan “Kush” Setiawan.
The global stage took notice of Team Garuda’s prowess during the Red Bull Campus Clutch competition held in Istanbul, Turkey, in November 2023. Demonstrating remarkable skill, the Indonesian contingent navigated the knockout phase with finesse, vanquishing formidable adversaries from France, the United States, Romania, Germany, Peru, and Pakistan.
Beyond their international exploits, these rising stars boast a substantial following within Indonesia’s competitive Valorant scene. In the previous year, the trio of Ray4C, gotten, and Valdyn made waves while representing the up-and-coming Dominatus, securing a coveted spot in the grand finals of VCT Indonesia Challenger Split 2. Regrettably, their ascent was stopped by Boom Esports, then bolstered by Cud.
Simultaneously, Nakya and Kush exhibited unwavering consistency within the Alter Ego ranks, earning the trust of the coaching staff amid the personnel shifts from 2021 to 2023. Fueled by the impressive gameplay showcased in the preceding year, Valorant enthusiasts in Indonesia are undoubtedly pegging Alter Ego as the frontrunners in the quest for a coveted slot in the upcoming international competition.
