Disappointed Fans Refunded for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

After days of clamouring and complaints, Nintendo finally caved. They are refunding people who bought Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, if they choose to abandon the game altogether.

Nintendo usually does not provide refunds for their games, but if players request for one through the Nintendo Customer Support Page, there is a possibility they could receive one. It is allegedly a way for Nintendo to appease fans who are angry at the state the games were released in.

No details were released on how many have demanded a refund..

The highly anticipated new additions to the Pokémon franchise hit the shelves last week on 18 November and to say it missed the mark is an understatement. It sucks, especially when it comes to game-breaking bugs.

It is no surprise to see that those who have bought the games are asking for refunds from Nintendo.

Finding a fix to the issues is imperative since at the end of the day, the game seems to be well-liked if players elect to close an eye (or maybe two) and ignore the glaring issues.

Alas, Nintendo and Game Freak have yet to do or announce that. What also makes this situation worse is the great anticipation for the games before their releases.

The fact that these games had the second-largest launch and most pre-orders of the entire Pokémon franchise proved that fans were definitely excited to get their hands on them.

Unfortunately, the anticipation meant the disappointment hit harder. Complaints started to flood the internet almost immediately after the launch.

Nintendo and Game Freak are burning trust built over years with Pokemon fans. Time to get a fix on it, and soon.
