Team Spirit, a major esports team from Eastern Europe, has officially entered the MLBB competitive scene by acquiring the Deus Vult squad. The Dota 2 giant is following the lead of Gaimin Gladiators, becoming one of the biggest esports organizations in Europe to join the global MLBB gaming community.
In their recent announcement, Team Spirit confirmed that their MLBB squad remains unchanged, keeping the same players from Deus Vult. They’re adding Mathaios “Kid Bomba” Chatzilakos, Stanislav “SAWO” Reshnyak, Kemiran “Sunset Lover” Kochkarov, and Sergey “Marl” Finashev to strengthen the lineup. The only one missing in action is the Filipino head coach Kenneth “Flysolo” Poloma, who’s now back in Southeast Asia and has signed up with Todak in Malaysia.
The TS MLBB squad garnered attention during the M5 competition in the Philippines in December 2023. Despite their initial familiarity with the global MLBB meta, they demonstrated remarkable skill by triumphing over seasoned teams such as HomeBois and Fire Flux. Notably, Kid Bomba and Sunset Lover emerged as fan favorites during the group stage.
Unlike GG, who went to North America, this new squad is sticking to Europe. They’re preparing to debut in the upcoming MLBB Continental Championships (MCC) Season 3 starting on March 30th.
The top two teams in the upcoming MCC event will secure spots in the highly anticipated Mobile Legends Mid-Season Cup (MSC) 2024, held in Saudi Arabia. It’ll be interesting to see if Europe has a team that can challenge this strong Russian squad for the title of Europe’s finest this year.
