The assistant coach for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Onic Esports squad, Adi Asyauri, has just aired a leak revealing that his team will bring in numerous prominent players from MPL Indonesia while possibly parting ways with its two Filipino people, Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol and head coach Paul “Yeb” Miranda.
A few hours ago, Adi put up an Instalive session which highlighted Onic’s achievement in recent MSC 2023 and their plans for the forthcoming MPL ID S12. He also leaked numerous surprises during his session, including rumors about the former RRQ Hoshi ace, Albert “Alberttt” Nielsen, who is reportedly coming to Onic, while claiming Yeb and Kairi will return to Philippines.
“There will be big announcements from major teams soon. I will be the new head coach of Onic MLBB, while Yeb and Kairi will go back to the Philippines. Also, Albert will join us,” Adi said at the end of his live session.
This news surely surprised Onic supporters, who had recently enjoyed their most successful season to date. Kairi and Yeb were highly praised as crucial members in Onic Esports, helping them in winning their back-to-back MPL ID title in MPL ID S11. Furthermore, they just won the MSC 2023 after defeating two of the world’s most popular teams, Echo Philippines and Blacklist International. Kairi in particular has garnered recognition for his exceptional skill as a jungler, especially with Ling and Fanny at his disposal.
As of now, neither Yeb nor Kairi have responded to Adi’s statement. Some fans speculated that Yeb will most likely return to the Philippines to retire and focus on his new family. Meanwhile, Kairi has mentioned several times that he may return to the Philippines scene someday, even though he has been spending a lot of his time in Indonesia since 2020.
According to certain rumours, Kairi’s success this season has piqued the interest of major MPL PH teams. Blacklist International, Kairi’s original team, is one of the strongest prospects thus far, and they are apparently eager to welcome him back when he returns to the Philippines.
