MLBB Pro League Indonesia Season 13 is blowing up on social media thanks to the fervent competition between established powerhouses and emerging talents, which have ignited the passion of all involved in the MLBB competitive scene. Notably, Ian “FwydChickn” Hohl, representing North America, is among those captivated by the tournament’s exhilarating atmosphere.
Fwyd, who is now part of Gaimin Gladiator, recently expressed his admiration for the MPL ID S13 competition, which he sees as a top tier entertainment. He even stated that the competition is superior compared to MPL ID’s Southeast Asian rival, MPL Philippines.
During a live streaming session on his channel, the American exp laner made a comparison between MPL ID and MPL PH, stating that he hasn’t followed the latter’s development much. He remarked, “I haven’t watched much of MPL PH because I’ve always enjoyed MPL Indo more than PH. I’ve always just gravitated towards Indo; it’s always been more entertaining. PH gets a little stale sometimes.”
Fwyd elaborated on what he finds intriguing about MPL ID, highlighting the engaging rapport between professionals and fans, a dynamic he finds lacking in MPL PH. Additionally, he commended the top-notch production quality of MPL ID, noting the captivating content beyond the matches.
“They (MPL ID pros) know how to entertain; that’s like their job, so they know how to keep an audience. But PH, a lot of times I see them go to fans, they don’t know how to be entertaining because they’re just nervous and stuff,” he said. “And Indonesia’s production is objectively better than PH. I’ll watch Indonesia between games actually for the cameraman and what they do between stuff.”
However, Fwyd emphasized that MPL PH still remains a top priority for anyone seeking to analyze high-level gameplay. He believes that MPL PH teams are highly oriented towards the macro aspects of the game, which is very useful for viewers seeking insights to improve their gameplay and strategies.
Fwyd is the second player from the MLBB NA region to acknowledge the entertainment aspect of MPL ID as the best in its class. One of his compatriots, Michael “MobaZane” Cosgun, has also praised MPL ID and expressed his desire to compete in Indonesia due to the strong fan culture of MLBB there.
