Originally released in 2021, Ruined King: A League of Legends Story has gotten a next generation update and is now available on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.
The well-loved RPG game follows a group of champions consisting of Miss Fortune, Illaoi, Braum, Yasuo, Ahri and Pyke, as they explore Bilgewater and the mysterious Shadow Isles.
The update does not change much though, other than the frame rate and resolution (now at 4k and 60fps). But why fix what isn’t broken? Xbox One and PS4 owners will even get to enjoy it with no additional costs.
The game’s publisher, Riot Forge, released the trailer online to announce the drop.
Players on Reddit have shared their love of the game and their thoughts on the launch.
To celebrate the release, Riot have also published a short story, The Will of the Dead, revealing what Illaoi has been up to after the events of the game.
It may not be the huge update or even sequel that some were hoping for, but it is definitely the chance to get the game into more hands.
