In a surprising turn of events, popular Vietnamese Teamfight Tactics streamer and professional player Tran “N6M” Van Ngoc has been banned by Riot Games for violating its professional competition rules. Just last week, he had finished in third place at the Remix Rumble: SEA Regional Finals and was scheduled to represent Vietnam in today’s Remix Rumble Championship alongside his teammate Le Chuyen.
Last evening (February 29th), Riot Games decided to ban N6M from its professional circuits in response to a report that emerged on February 26th. The company’s subsequent investigation on February 28th found the player guilty of violating Rule 3.1 of Riot’s Global Code of Conduct.
Rule 3.1 states: “Professional Esports players participating in Riot Games Esports tournaments must always adhere to the highest standards of personal ethics and playing style. Esports players are required to conduct themselves respectfully in all interactions with other competitors, coaches, referees, tournament administrators, media, sponsors, fans, and others.”
While Riot Games has not publicly disclosed the specific violation, the SEA community suspects N6M promoted websites with inappropriate content, including online gambling, on his personal accounts. Additionally, members of the community allege that N6M offered Elo-boosting services for a fee.
As a consequence of the violation, N6M is banned from professional competition until March 1st, 2025. Riot Games has also revoked his spot in the TFT World Championship, replacing him with Eggy from the Singapore region, who finished fourth at the SEA Regional Finals.
