If you’re even just a casual fan of Honkai Star Rail, chances are you know that Version 1.1 Galactic Roaming is dropping in just a few days. The first major update of HoYoverse’s latest hit game, many are excited for what’s to come—the most anticipated aspect of the patch being, no doubt, the new 5-star characters: Silver Wolf and Luocha.
While no doubt many are already prepared to spend their Stellar Jades and Star Rail Passes on either character (or both), many may still not have decided if it’s worth doing any warps this patch. For the players who might need a bit more convincing, here are reasons why you should pull for Silver Wolf and Luocha:
Silver Wolf (The Nihility)
The first limited 5-star character following the Path of Nihility, Silver Wolf is a powerful Quantum-Type support character who specialises in debuffing enemies as well as reducing randomised, specific stats.
Silver Wolf’s Skill deals Quantum DMG and also has a base chance of inflicting 1 Weakness on the target enemy. The Weakness correlates with a random ally’s Type which ensures at least one of your team members will have a much easier time breaking shields. This attack also reduces the enemy’s DMG RES to the chosen Weakness Type by a base amount for 2 turns as well as reduces RES to all Types for 2 turns.
Her Ultimate deals massive Quantum DMG to the target enemy and also has a high chance of decreasing their DEF for several turns.
Additionally, all of Silver Wolf’s attacks have a base chance to implant a Bug which lasts 3 turns on the target enemy. The Bug’s type is randomised with the possibilities being: reduce ATK, DEF or SPD by specific percentages.
Silver Wolf is highly recommended for players who need a versatile support character for dedicated DPS characters.
Luocha (The Abundance)
Honkai Star Rail’s first limited 5-star dedicated healer, Luocha is an Imaginary-Type character who follows the Path of Abundance.
His Skill immediately restores the target ally’s HP equal to a percentage of Luocha’s ATK plus 200 and he gains 1 stack of Abyss Flower. Additionally, when any teammate’s HP drops to 50% or below, an effect similar to this Skill will be triggered automatically and applied to said ally without using any Skill Points. The effect can occur again after 2 turns.
Luocha’s Ultimate deals solid Imaginary DMG and also removes 1 buff from all enemies. He gains 1 stack of Abyss Flower from this as well.
When Abyss Flower stacks to 2, they will be consumed by Luocha to deploy a Field. When teammates attack enemies within the Field, the one dealing the attacks will instantly restore HP equal to a percentage of Luocha’s ATK plus 60. The Field lasts for 2 turns and dispels if he is knocked down.
Luocha is highly recommended for players who either: do not have Bailu or simply want a dedicated healer alternative to Natasha.
May all Silver Wolf and Luocha-wanters be Silver Wolf and Luocha-havers!
