They might live the life of glitz and glamour but celebrities are often placed on a pedestal by fans who forget that they are human too. Like us, mere mortals, many of them are into gaming too. You didn’t know? Let us share some of them with you. Prepare yourselves. Your love for some of them might grow tenfold after reading this.

Other than playing our beloved Clark Kent in the recent Superman and Justice League movies, Henry Cavill is also known for his role as Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’s series The Witcher. The series is based on the book, which also has a game adaptation. And well, Cavill is definitely well-versed in both, so much so that his castmates have deemed him the “Witcher Bible”.

The actor is also known for his love for Warhammer 40,000. Back in February, he even went to visit Warhammer World in Nottingham, England. His father introduced PC gaming to him when he was younger and he has been hooked ever since.

This brazilian football legend may be known for scoring goals on the field but did you know he is also an avid gamer? When Neymar is not setting the field alight, he can often be seen streaming his gaming adventures online. Some games he plays are Call of Duty, Fortnite and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

At the end of 2021, he even signed with Facebook Gaming, where he now streams. He is also an ambassador for PUBG: Battlegrounds since July 2022.

As 1/4 of the world-famous band, 5 Seconds of Summer, Micheal Clifford is known as a guitarist, singer, songwriter and music producer. However, when COVID-19 struck the world in 2020, causing the music industry to come to a standstill, Clifford took the extra time on his hands to stream his gaming on Twitch

He has made his love for gaming very known and has streamed games like League of Legends, VALORANT and Resident Evil 2.

  1. Asa Butterfield

You might know Asa Butterfield from popular movies and series like Sex Education and The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. However, if he was not as talented an actor as he is, he could totally fall back on being a full-time professional gamer.

Not only is he a huge fan of the esports organisation, Team Liquid, he even signed with them in October 2020 as an ambassador. Most recently, he cheered them on as they qualified for the final stages of The International 11 (TI11).

  1. Lando Norris

Many of the drivers up and down the Formula One (F1) grid are video game fans but Lando Norris stands out from the bunch. He might have his hands full driving at crazy speeds as his full-time job but his love for gaming pushed him to start his very own esports organisation, Quadrant, which now has a Halo and Rocket League roster.

Like Clifford, the pandemic also drove him to start streaming on Twitch. Some games he streams are Halo, Rocket League, PUBG and of course, the F1 game.

  1. Jeon Jungkook

If you do not recognise this name, you really must have been living under a rock. Jeon Jungkook is 1/7 of the record-breaking Kpop group BTS. To the surprise of his fans, he is not only a talented singer and dancer. In October of 2019, the singer-songwriter stunned fans when he posted a clip of him playing a popular action game – Overwatch. He possesses some pretty impressive skills too.

Well, now you know. These are some professional athletes, actors and musicians who all also have that love for gaming that you and I have. So next time you play against someone you might just end up playing against one of these stars, or more!
