Tundra Esports Unveils Dota 2 Lineup with Acquisition of Undying Talent

In a strategic move following a complete roster overhaul post-The International 2023, Tundra Esports has officially introduced its revamped Dota 2 lineup. The new squad, now featuring the former Undying roster from the United States, is geared up for the ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 tournament, kicking off this evening.

In the aftermath of a disappointing performance at TI 2023, where Tundra Esports relinquished its championship title and settled for the 13-16th position, the UK-based esports organization decided on a surprising restructuring. In a series of developments, the departure of key members, Leon “Nine” Krillin, Oliver “skiter” Lepko, Wu “Sneyking” Jingjun, Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen, Neta “33” Shapira, and Head Coach Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling, unfolded gradually from the team.

Contrary to initial speculations about skipping ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023, Tundra Esports acted swiftly, making waves by recruiting the recently reformed Undying team, who parted ways with the TSM organization. The rejuvenated Tundra lineup now boasts talents like Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon, Enzo “Timado” Gianoli, Jonathan “Bryle” Santos, Ilyas “kasane” Gainullin, along with head coach David “MoonMeander” Tan. Adding depth to their roster is the new addition in the fourth position, Aleksandr “Immersion” Khmelevskoi, formerly associated with the UK-based squad Into the Breach.

The ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 will serve as an immediate litmus test for the fresh Tundra roster, with their inaugural matches today pitting them against two formidable Chinese teams – the ‘newcomer’ G2.iG and LGD. Amidst the shuffle in team rosters, predicting the outcomes of these upcoming matches promises to be a challenging endeavor.
