In a surprising turn of events, two of Bleed Esports’ Dota stars, Djardiel “DJ” Mampusti and Rafli “Mikoto” Rahman, have hinted at their departure from the team. Both players have been actively seeking new teams to join, signaling their final days within the organization.
Just two days ago, DJ announced on social media that he is looking for a new team to compete in the Esports World Cup qualifier. The very next day, Mikoto followed suit, expressing his intention to find a new team and stating his willingness to relocate to any region.
Despite the absence of an official statement from Bleed, online speculation suggests growing tension between the players and management, particularly with Mikoto. During a live stream, the Indonesian revealed that he had no initial plans to leave Bleed, as the organization was unwilling to let him go.
The situation extends beyond DJ and Mikoto, with community members noting that Souliya “Jackky” Khoompetsavong has also been unusually silent in recent weeks. However, Jackky has yet to provide any updates on his status with Bleed.
The potential departure of DJ and Mikoto is certainly shocking, given their reputations as top Dota talents in Southeast Asia. However, their tenure with the Singapore-based organization has been marked by a lack of significant victories and numerous missed qualifiers in recent months.
Since joining Bleed in March 2023, DJ achieved only one notable success with the team: winning the Dota 2 Pro Circuit Tour 3 in 2023, which earned them a spot at the Bali Major. Unfortunately, Bleed struggled to maintain their form and exited the competition early.
Meanwhile, Mikoto, after leaving Talon Esports in November 2023 and taking a brief hiatus, joined Bleed two months later. Despite the initial hype surrounding the Riyadh Masters MVP, he was unable to propel the team to new heights, as they consistently faced difficulties in many qualifiers since January.
