Korean-American singer, songwriter, and fan of PlayerUnknown’s battlegrounds (PUBG) Ailee (Amy Lee) is well known for her love songs. But her newest single is about killing and hurting others – at least in the digital landscape.
The single “Believe” was released on March 23 and will be the theme song for the PUBG Global Invitational.S 2021.
The hit single by Ailee has crossed 100k views on Youtube a week after its release, with views expected to rise even further. The average views of her videos are about 20M views.
The fast-paced survival game launched the tune to celebrate its 4th anniversary, with the original lobby theme song of the game serving as the inspiration.
PUBG Corporation has always been heavily involved with the music scene and has previously worked with popular artists like Blackpink, Charlotte Churchman, and of course Alan Walker with his earworm “On my way”. In addition to Ailee’s recent new single, PUBG mobile also recently teamed up with Stray Kids, Alesso, and CORSAK for a new PUBG mobile track “Going dumb”.
PUBG is an online multiplayer battle royale game owned by the Chinese company Tencent. The PUBG Mobile has over 30 million active daily users and over a billion downloads across both the Apple iStore and Google Playstore – the highest number of downloads of any mobile game.
The third-person shooter is truly one of the leading giants in the world of gaming, and its fast-paced frying pan picking, ghillie suit-wearing gameplay is likely to stay relevant for many more years to come.
