Pokefans, rejoice! 2024 is shaping up to be an awesome year for Pokemon as Nintendo and Creatures Inc just spilled the beans on their plans to drop some fresh Pokemon games, including this cool new trading card game called Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket. And get this—it’s hitting both Android and iOS!

In case you missed the memo, they announced they announced new TCG game during Nintendo’s latest Pokemon Presents showcase yesterday. Unlike the existing TCG ventures like Pokemon TCG Live, Pokemon TCG Pocket is touted to reshape the Pokemon card game with an innovative digital format.

Set against a backdrop of strategic trading and intense battles, Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket places a premium on the art of collection. The game’s teaser trailer offers a tantalizing glimpse into the immersive world of card acquisition, each boasting unique designs and styles destined to enrich players’ collections.

Further enriching the gameplay experience, Pokemon TCG Pocket introduces novel avenues for card utilization. Demonstrating the intricacies of card trading and competitive gameplay, Creatures Inc’s President and CEO, Yuji Kitano, revealed plans for streamlined gaming mechanics designed to heighten the pace of gameplay.

In tandem with the announcement of Pokemon TCG Pocket, Nintendo also unveiled Pokemon Legends: Z-A for its console. Serving as a spiritual successor to the acclaimed 2022 release, Pokemon Legends: Arceus, this forthcoming title transports players to the storied landscapes of the Kalos region, as featured in Pokemon X and Y.

As of the latest update, Nintendo and The Pokemon Company remain tight-lipped regarding further details on these eagerly anticipated titles. Interestingly, while Pokemon TCG Pocket is earmarked for a 2024 launch, Pokemon Legends: Z-A is slated for release in 2025, coinciding with speculation surrounding the debut of Nintendo Switch successor. Exciting times ahead!
