MLBB Reality Show The Greatest Gamer Opens Auditions for Filipino Gamers

What if we told you that you could stand a chance to win 250,000 PHP just by doing something you already do daily? Well, now you can, because the gaming competition show The Greatest Gamer is coming to the Philippines!

Focused on Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), The Greatest Gamer Philippines is launched by Smart Communications, a telecommunications company in the Philippines, and TikTok.

Other than the remarkable cash prize, the winner will receive a contract to play with Mobile Legends Professional League team Smart Omega.

Selecting the Philippines for the second season of The Greatest Gamer is an apt choice, considering the flourishing MLBB market there. Additionally, the country has a “thriving and welcoming gaming community that aspires to grow and excel as skilful gamers”.

During the reality show, 10 amateur gamers will spend three weeks living together in a luxury villa – a short time to show that they have what it takes to be the next professional e-sports star

Subscribers of Smart Communications’ Power All mobile plan can watch as the contestants take part in online and offline challenges, including weekly tournament gameplays and physical activities. For those hoping to get to know the players better, The Greatest Gamer’s official TikTok account will also feature contestants’ backstories and programme highlights.

If you’re interested in joining The Greatest Gamer Philippines, you can audition by posting a TikTok between 24 May to 14 June. In the TikTok, you should introduce yourself and your MLBB skills using the official Greatest Gamer audition filter. When uploading the video, you should tag #TheGreatestGamerPH, @thegreatestgamer and @smartcommunications in the caption. Next, you should also follow @thegreatestgamer and @smartcommunications on TikTok. Finally, do note that only participants aged 16 and above can enter the auditions.

When speaking about encouraging Filipino gamers, Vanessa Brown, the TikTok Asia-Pacific business development director, said: “TikTok’s gaming community rallies behind one another to cheer on key wins, support after disappointing losses, and share tips to help each level up in their favourite games. It would be very interesting, entertaining and educational to see how Pinoy gamers strategise to be the next professional gamer.

“Filipinos have always been enthusiastic about gaming, whether online or offline, and we are excited to witness their talents and passions in The Greatest Gamer Philippines auditions.”
