Irrad’s Absence in MPLI 2023 Sparks Speculation of an Impending Exit from RSG PH

In the wake of RSG Philippines’ triumph in the ONE Esports MPL Invitational 2023, the conspicuous absence of their seasoned jungler, John “Irrad” Abarquez, has sparked speculation surrounding his imminent transfer to the MLBB Pro League Indonesia. Source close to the matter hinted that Irrad is actively preparing to finalize this pivotal move.

The MPLI 2023 showcased a surprising strategic shift for RSG PH, as they enlisted the talents of Jonard “Demonkite” Caranto, formerly of RSG Malaysia, to assume the critical jungler role previously commanded by Irrad. Despite initial skepticism regarding the comparative skills of the two players, Demonkite swiftly dispelled doubts, leading RSG PH to clinch the championship and securing the coveted MVP accolade.

However, Demonkite’s stellar performance has given rise to speculation regarding his role within the team for the upcoming season. The swift trust bestowed upon Demonkite by RSG PH is interpreted as a harbinger of the team’s intent to forge a revamped lineup independent of Irrad. These conjectures gained further traction during the MPLI 2023 grand finals which concluded last night.

An insider from MPLI 2023 suggests that Irrad is presently finalizing his relocation to Indonesia in the near future, with arrangements including accommodation in Jakarta. Anticipated timelines hint at his departure from the Philippines by the end of November or early next month.

While the destination team for the promising Filipino jungler remains uncertain, reports of interest from MPL ID teams surfaced approximately two weeks prior, with RRQ emerging as the frontrunner in the pursuit of Irrad’s signature. Following the MPL ID S12 grand finals, RRQ Team CEO Andrian “AP” Pauline expressed a keen desire to expedite negotiations with RSG PH for Irrad’s acquisition.

Should this speculated transfer materialize, Team RRQ stands poised with a formidable opportunity to reclaim supremacy in MPL ID, presenting a formidable challenge to counterparts such as Onic Esports. The latter has asserted its dominance in the Indonesian scene over the past year, courtesy of the exceptional contributions of Kairi “Kairi” Rayosdelsol.

Given his unique personality and huge potential, Irrad is expected to seamlessly assimilate his playing style into the tactical framework of RRQ.
