Through an announcement on its official website, PGL has set its sights on hosting an array of thrilling Dota 2 events spanning from 2024 to 2026.
With a commitment to delivering world-class professional circuits, PGL has promised a series of eight grand LAN tournaments, each boasting a staggering $1M prize pool. Beyond these eight main events, PGL has teased plans to expand their event lineup through strategic partnerships, hinting at a potential plethora of future Dota 2 events.
“Riding the wave of its 2024 events, PGL is thrilled to elevate the game even further with a bold three-year commitment to Dota 2! This expansion is a testament to PGL’s unwavering dedication to nurturing the growth and ensuring the sustainability of the Dota 2 esports scene,” wrote the organization on the website.
The inaugural circuit, dubbed PGL Wallachia, is set to kick off in Bucharest from May 10-19. The path to Wallachia begins with an open qualifier on March 21, 2024, followed by closed qualifiers on March 25, promising fierce competition and epic showdowns.
This announcement marks a triumphant return of PGL as one of the prominent organizers in Dota 2 scene. Renowned for its blockbuster productions such as the Kiev Major in 2017 and the popular PGL Arlington Major in 2022, the Romanian tournament organizer is ready to reclaim its throne and captivate Dota fans worldwide.
