The gaming industry is no stranger to collaborations and this year was no different. Here are some of the best ones we think filled up the past 12 months of the year.
When Fall Guys and WWE announced their collaboration in July, we were thrilled. WWE collaborating with a video game that allows players to throw and push others off platforms? It made perfect sense.
With the collaboration, Fall Guys players could collect costumes of WWE champions Asuka, Xavier Woods and the Undertaker for their beans.
Only released on 6 December, this is the most recent collaboration on this list. However, players have already begun to share how much they enjoy it.
It is basically a very popular animated series teaming up with a very popular game to give fans something they have always wanted – Avatar Legends in the form of an open world game. You can bend the elements and complete quests to save the four nations in Minecraft.
- Fortnite x Mr Beast x The Witcher
Fortnite has had many collaborations since its launch in 2017 but we are only going to name a couple. This year, the battle royale game has had collaborations with Mr Beast and The Witcher.
If you do not already know, Mr Beast is one of the most popular creators on YouTube and The Witcher is a very popular franchise, which includes books, video games and a Netflix series. The Fortnite collaborations included unique skins and items for players to collect.
With the World Cup taking place this year in Qatar, it is no surprise that many games have done football-related collaborations. And when you think of football video games, other than the FIFA series, many think of the vehicular football game Rocket League.
In this collaboration, other than collecting in-game items and completing challenges, players could also represent their country and compete in the Fan Clash: Nike FC Cup to win rewards. If you are interested to read more about this collaboration, you can do so from the story we published last month.
